Welcome to the website of the Order of Servant Franciscans -- a canonically independent and ecumenical Franciscan religious community. Ours is a community rooted in the tradition and theology of our Eastern Catholic heritage and is inspired by the spirituality of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi. We are dedicated to living our lives as mirrors of the model life of Our Blessed Mother Mary, the Mother of Christ.
Dedicated to the advancement of a deeper and more meaningful experience of the Eucharistic Christ, we are an open, affirming, and radically inclusive religious order of men and women, single and married, families and celibate, united in the common pursuit of faith, service, and compassion.
The Order of Servant Franciscans represents a diverse expression of what it means to live as a Pilgrim People. Like the many different threads, which come together to form a magnificent tapestry, our religious order welcomes people from diverse liturgical, theological, and denominational affiliations, cultural backgrounds, and ages.
Drawn together by the Most Holy Eucharist and committed to the gospel message of social justice, compassion, and service, we welcome both men and women become involved with us in a life of journey, listening for the voice of God in our midst. Ours is a life of constant conversion and journey, turning inward to ourselves and rebuilding the "church that is in ruins", by beginning with ourselves.
We recently reconnected with one of our fellow Franciscan Orders and are now One Order of the Servant Franciscans once again.
